This short piece of choreography got its inspiration by a "light fabric" dress created by Concetta Guercio for her thesis with Professor Vittorio Vicari of the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, entitled "Look me inside - Survey and project on the technological fabrics for the costumes of a choreography"
"Lu, my name is Lu. She says. Look me. Inside. She says."
The protagonist is a woman who is not afraid to express herself, getting “illuminated” when happy and dark for her fragility.
The dance draws a path that becomes a black and withe shadow up to a light that transforms the dancer. She gets full of vitality or fragile like the branches of a tree against the time, the weather, the space.
She reflects others crossed by light, she becomes an image on a mirror, the one that we want to be more 'our image”. The creature on the stage traces an intimate path of light and shadow. The important thing is to look inside, look inside, look inside.
something that gave me life, made me shine like glass. I found love! To me, to you, to all! Look I can pass your hand through, see what's inside!
Here I am. fragile like all of us , I break into a thousand pieces , but something gave me life, I can feel, fly, smile, joke, all this because everything is light.
Try, come, make it, do not be afraid, come here! I found love for me, to you, to all!
