Wood - Mù - is the first scene of my new choreographic project of wood and fire, a new but yet ancient soul dances. These elements connected to spring and summer are symbols of rebirth and of explosive vitality. We internally reborn and die many times in life and looking back it often seems that we have lived more lives in one existence. The fragmented colours and the images that appear before us confusingly with and through the dancing body become light with the images appearing differently making us feel as part of a whole. In dance I love to seek rituality, to create a relationship between the subtle and coarse world.
In dance I seek clarity, a clear sighted vision and transition: every dance piece gives new meaning and induces to move on to a new page ; letting go to a process of change and development. The wood, which needs the humidity of the water to live, is spring with its windy weather, it is the strong and flexible bamboo. It is the colour green and the East. It is connected to the liver, to the joints, and to space and represents movement in every direction. It is Hun, the spirit responsible for every journey of the soul.
